Are Velocity Rewards Shortchanging you on promotional Bonus Points?

Hi all,

Checking through some of my previous purchases through AMEX Velocity Rewards from various estore promotions and noticed inconsistencies with the points credited to the account compared to actual spending and promotional bonus points offered.

Whilst the shortchange varies with different promotional offers, the missing points add up to quite a proportion.

I wonder do any of you bother to check your reward points accounts for accuracy, or simply rely on good faith that 'someone else' will look after you?

Are you allowing for the fact that the Velocity Points Earned are on the Product you buy exclusive of Postage and Handling?

    • Yes good point.

I have a couple of transactions that are being investigated, even excluding GST and free delivery/postage and handling.

Maybe Velocity are using rehabilitated rhesus monkeys to calculate the points.
