Speed Detection App for iPhone

Guys,

Can you please suggest me some good iPhone Apps (Free or Paid) for Speed Detection on road which are legal in Australia, thanks. I would love to install one in my iPhone when I drive my car to avoid the fines.

when I drive my car to avoid the fines.

My car has this app installed from factory…its called a speedometer….it also has a speed alert add-on but my Magna's operating system isn't compatible so I don't use it.😁😁😁

Too difficult to use - it requires the observing speed signs and road conditions hardware capability and the right-foot-control modification.

    • 3.5L Magna is very compatible, just need the 'Balls' add-on pack ;)

        It's only 2.4L , no more updates available.😁

  • OP, just stick to speed limits, and you are safe…

  • pretty sure using your phone while driving is illegal though

    • Thanks tuzii, I use the phone on a fixed on a holder for google maps.

  • Most GPS apps will list fixed speed cameras - then again they also have massive signs. Doesn't stop you getting pinged by the mobile radars, highway patrol and undercover cops.

Best way to limit your chances of getting caught are to limit your speeding.

  • I use this, I think it is a great app.

I've noticed the car speedo has a small buffer built in - so if you're doing a 100 according to your car, you are actually doing a 96-98. This app will help you figure it out…

I use Here maps, you can set it to beep when you go over the speed by the amount you choose

  • I can think of 3 local spots where the map speed is not the same as the posted speed, I'm sure there are plenty more I can't think of or haven't discovered yet.

Watch out the window for signs, then you can use your brain to work out how hard to press the loud pedal not rely on outdated maps on your phone.

    • Report the changes in speed limits to developer, as it would help new drivers in your vicinity and can avoid accidents.

      • Have done that before.

Still say that it's more important to look out the window and drive to the conditions than to know if your phone is telling you the right speed limit

        • I guess helping their app is overrated.

@johnnybravoo0: no, needing an app is overrated.

  • Thanks everyone! Appreciate your comments.

  • Here you go buddy.
