  Can definitely vouch for their quality. Very robust construction, easy to mount on your pannier rack, and will definitely keep the contents dry in heavy rain. I highly recommend that you invest in something to keep them secured to your bike if you intend to lock it up in public. Second hand ones still sell for top money on ebay and gumtree.

  I went halves on a set of the Ortliebs a year ago with a friend. I commute with mine each weekday and can't fault it. Totally waterproof and well designed.

    Thanks for your feedback. Going halve is also a good idea if you don't need that much space. May I ask if it is going to cause any problem to the balance of the bike when riding?

      No balance problems at all. I have loaded my pannier with quite a bit of weight.
      This is a good price. We paid $227 for the pair in December 2014 from the cheapest place I could find at the time (st kilda cycles).

    Did you know that Ortlieb also carries backpack and outdoor gears, completely waterproof and some of them are even capable of being submerged under water (IP67)?
