How much have you spent on Humble Bundle over the years?

Just out of curiosity, I decided to tally up all my Humble Bundle buys since I first purchased there in 2012. My total spend was near on US$200. It was probably a little more than I expected given that I often only go for the first tier in a bundle and never buy individual games from the Humble Store, quite a few second tier purchases though it seems. A big chunk of my nearly 700 steam games have been via Humble Bundle though, so a lot of games for the money (not that I play many).

How much have you guys spent? Did the figure surprise you?

I'm not sure, but given that I've bought quite a few, and I quite typically do the "typical" donation ~$15 or $20, I'd say it'd be a lot. Which I'm totally ok with, what with it being a lot of games and charity and what not.

    Zero and no.

$0 Not all of us are neckbeards

    • Yeah you're right; only neckbeards would donate to charity. Call me when they put the GOOD Battlefront on humble or have good deals on mountenn doo. #420praiseit

      • It is mainly about indie games, sometime companies donate a bunch of keys for old games that arent selling much anymore. The E3 bundle is your best bet at getting some latest release loot and games.

    • This is true, not sure that the two correlate though.

    • I'm $155.30 worth of neckbeard, apparently.

    $300.

I've played them a fair bit. The thing is that some games get played heaps and many not at all but beforehand I don't know which is which.

  • I have spent $102 in the last 2 years on my own account, probably double that on each of my boys. I check them every week, and grab them when they interest me. Their contents would make up at least half of my 200+ steam games. I love getting a bargain and helping charity at the same time, plus it is good exposure for indie devs - a steam friend sees you playing a game often, asks u about it and if its good, they may grab a copy for themselves. It have bought games based on what my steam mates are playing and vice versa all the time.

Edit: The figure did surprise me, I thought I had spent a lot more, and as I am discerning with my purchases, I have played and enjoyed at least half of the games in each bundle. I am averaging a $1 a game, so that's pretty good.

    • Just checked my unclaimed keys, as games get added to bundles sometimes and found I had this gem waiting : Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People: Season 1

Yeah Ive had a few unclaimed surprises as well.

  • i dont buy from humble no more, the bundles they offer are now rubbish mostly, humble used to be good before they got all posh and became sellouts they traded traditional bundles for snobby indie developers, basically since they opened the humble shop ive purchased maybe 2 bundles, pre-shop i was buying everything they bundled ive probably spent 250 on bundles all up

  • maybe around $50 in the last 2 years
