      go to candlepower forums and look for inexpensive flashlight reviews. Whatever is reasonable will have been reviewed and compared. Prepare to be shocked at how many "flashaholics" there are and the amount of info.

      You may find something really cheap but you can get good reliable name brand torches for $30-50. These will last for years.

      In my opinion, for some things it is worth investing in quality: hard drives, condoms, flashlights.
