Olympus OMD 14-42mm EZ Power Zoom Lens - $199 @ Ted's Camera Stores

200

Just picked up one of these from the Ted's store in the Melbourne CBD. Cheapest price I've seen by far, even with grey imports from HK and Korea this lens is selling for $250.

They're selling the lens taken from the Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark II kit so it doesn't come with a box, but it still comes with 2 years warranty.

JB said they'd price match but they don't stock it, so you might have some luck at other retailers who will give you the same product with the box etc.

  • Can this fit epl5?

    • Yep as can any other micro 4/3 lense :)

      • Same with zenmuse X5 for dji?

        • +1

yes, zenmuse x5 is also a micro four third.

    • +1

It's micro four thirds so I'd think so - It works fine with my OM-D m5 (first gen) which is a similar age to that camera.

  • I have the 12-40/f2.8 lens.. is it still worthwhile getting this?

    • +2

      Only for the size.
The 12-40 is a much better lens apart from size.

Great lens easy to carry around. Although I found using my 14-150 more because of its reach. IQs are very similar.

    • I got this to supplement the 14-150 when we travel. It's way more portable and it will fit in my coat pockets and the gf's bags.

We're going to Japan in a few months, I'll have to have a good play around with it before to see if it will be enough for our needs.

      • I'm too going to Japan (Sapporo) next week. Other lenses I would bring are Pana 20mm and Oly 45mm. Those are so small and light, and would also be useful for indoor. I will leave Oly 75mm at home since it's a bit heavy, but still considering the 12mm f/2, which will be useful especially for landscape.
