    NQR in Victoria sell some short-date items and some past best-before, but usually it is overstock or cancelled store orders at reduced prices.

      Go work out the difference between best-before and use-by.

      Explain why water, billions of years old, has an expiry date!

      I'm really hoping this is a joke. But, there are some people out there.

      Hell, there are docos that show entire prison populations in the US that are fed "expired food". This discussion is specifically about "best before".

    Some foods are perfectly fine to eat past its use by date. Canned goods being one of them.

    As for best before dates. I have eaten this even up to a month or two past said best before date with no ill effects.

    A caution though. YMMV trying this.
