iPrimus Should Honour 200 Mbps Unlimited Plan

Just saw ad on tv advertising 25/5 MB/s (200/40 Mb/s) but it turns out it is 25/5 Mb/s

https://m.imgur.com/VNXnKnI

This is really misleading and they should honour the plan.

    Clutching at straws?

Should report it to the TIO.

  • It was clearly a typo.

No one can get those speeds unless they have fibre.

    • +2

Wasn't even a typo. Just someone's caplock got stuck.

It is advertising NBN so fibre isn't out of the question, unless you're on the libs NBNs

    Borderline troll thread.

You're splitting hairs, then splitting them again… but still wrong.
And you're distorting your own story by writing "25/5 MB/s" when they never wrote that.
Even your thread title doesn't match your complaint. LOL
Once you get the complaint figured out, let ACA know.

BTW… "Those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones" ;)

How am I distorting the story?

Well, if you want to be pedantic, you can't pick and choose what you're going to be pedantic about.
        You're arguing;
        MB/S
        M(ega) B(ytes) per S(econd)
but SI nomenclatures says a lower case s is the symbol for seconds. Capital S in SI Unit Nomenclature is Siemens, the unit for Electrical Conductance..
So you're wanting Primus to offer their
Unlimited Mega Bytes per Siemens service.
With the low amperage over the telephone network, that's going to be a pretty slow connection, but go ahead and demand it.. They might still offer Dialup!

    Seriously???

All three of the main points are in capitals.
It's just another case of bloody marketers trumping facts.
Anyway, can happen to anyone can't it?

iPrimus Should Honour 200mbps Unlimited Paln

Yep, they definitely should supply you with a 200 millibits per second paln!

    • +1

They need to be held responsible for their trumping facts.
Should they honor it? Probably not, should there be consequences? Absolutely!

      • +1

I agree companies should be held responsible where there is a genuine deception (purposely or otherwise) - this is just a letter being the wrong case and will affect no-one.

    Let's sue them.

imgur is the past, present and the future. praise imgur.

on a serious note Imgur is like the best of all the image filehosts, it was made for Reddit and featured a clean, non-cluttered interface that anyone could use as long as they knew how to drag and drop. Registration was also unneccessary so all uploaders are completely anonymous.

They probably can't even provide those speeds if they wanted to.
