Wireless Headphones for TV

I need a new set of wireless headphones for my TV. Currently I have a set of Turtlebeach X31's with the RF transmitter hooked up to a DAC which is connected to my TV by an optical cable. [TV out (optical) -> DAC -> RF transmitter (via 3.5mm to RAC)]

There's a few problem's with how I have it set up. I use my laptop via HDMI on the TV and the TV's only output (other than HDMI) is the optical cable. The way it works now is good because I can just turn the TV down and turn the headphones on, previously I had the stereo cable plugged in to the laptop and switching between HDMI and stereo was annoying, and it only worked for the laptop (ie, not the TV).

Ideally the new headphones would have optical in to avoid the DAC (although I can continue using the DAC is needed), rechargeable and somewhat decent at not bleeding sound. Cheaper is better, looking around the $50 mark.

Wait, so what's the problem? Are there problems or is it good? I don't understand sorry.

    • Well I have to power 2 things (DAC and RF) with USB and with the USB slot on the TV powering my chromecast I have to have the both plugged into the laptop, so if I want to watch TV, the laptop needs to be on. But the actual problem is that the earmuffs were chewed off by my dog and I'm using one's off another headset which don't really fit. Plus it's recently (or maybe I'm using them more) starting chewing through AAA batteries and I don't have any rechargables.

Well I would say just buy a dual usb charger and some new earmuffs that fit, and keep using the DAC. If you buy a new set of expensive wireless headphones then your dog might just chew them up.
