Uncharted 4 - Thoughts on The Game?

Had some free time over the past week and managed to clock the game across a few days. Not a passionate gamer per se but I absolutely love the Uncharted series.

What are your thoughts on the game? I reckon it's another masterpiece and a great finale to the series; storyline was well paced with a fitting (and rightly bittersweet) ending, and graphics were just stunning. But hey we expect no less from Naughty Dog.

  • I'm a huge fan of the series and I thought 4 was a fantastic ending to the franchise.
My only criticism was I felt the 3rd act dragged on a bit.

Yeah I felt some parts were a little long winded too.

If you were to rank each title in the series what would yours be?

      Mine would be:
      1. Uncharted 2
      2. Uncharted 4
      3. Uncharted 1
      4. Uncharted 3

      • I haven't even played Uncharted 4 yet, and I still agree with this list.

      • Uncharted 2 holds a special place in my heart.

  • I'm very thankful that 4 wrapped up fairly well with an open mind to future games, the last fight was a bit of a pain in the arse, but what a great adventure and a bit of fan service with the Drake/Elena story and the Easter eggs …

How awesome was it when they paid homage to Crash Bandicoot!? I didn't see that one coming haha.

It was a fantastic experience. I don't think it will be topped for a long time. Personally I would rate it equal to Among Thieves.

    • Among Thieves will always hold a special place in my heart. It was just that much of a memorable experience for me.

  • Great game, but suffered from lower frame rates due to PS4 hardware limitations. Should the upcoming PS4 Neo be capable, playing at 60 FPS and a patch to enable 4K resolution then that would be just sweet.

  • managed to clock the game

Ha. There is an expression I rarely hear. We have to bring back "to clock" a game.

I own a PS4 but haven't purchased a copy yet. I hear overwhelmingly good things so it is certainly on my list.
