So. With the trailer out and the basic framework of the game released, I'm ambivalent about it. I'm of the opinion if they arent providing a full GT7 type game content experience then they better not charge full price for it.
I need something to feed the Ps4 so I will invariably get it but I perhaps expected more?
Just remember with GT it is a racing simulator, so not everyone will find it fun. If you are an enthusiast with 'some' knowledge I feel you are likely to enjoy it more but in saying that it can get very repetitive very quick. It will be the same tracks/rings over and over but just keep in mind practice makes perfect!
GT has had a history of recycling content from their previous edition but I am hoping since GT7 was developed for the PS4 engine and GT6 is quite old now it will have been done from scratch. I am also very much looking forward to it!
But if you feel a racing sim is not for you try NFS, drive club, The crew (I found the crew to be boring solo but great playing with friends).
Honestly, I think that Polyphony have had their day. The era of driving games that have cars that sound like anemic vacuum cleaners is long since over. It's clear that they aren't able to keep up with modern game development even with a budget that would exceed the GDP of most small nations. If you want your racing sim fix, you might want to consider Assetto Corsa or (to a lesser degree) Project Cars. A PC + racing rig is a good investment if you're into hardcore racing sims.
Project cars is a great game, but the only way to describe the AI in that game is "Drunk Teenagers".
I hear what you're saying about PD but here's what will happen… GT Sport will release and they will sell millions of copies.
Sony and Polyphony and Gran Turismo sell on name alone.
I do hope they do something a bit new. Hell, that's why I bought a ps4.
GT IS THE BEST THERE IS. Period
Nothing else comes close. Every time a GT comes out I will buy the system if I didn't already have it
I was watching the trailer, and while I do like racing games, it just kinda feels like 'been there, done that'! All the tracks are the same etc there's no wow factor in that way.
I dunno, maybe it's just me lol that's why I prefer the Need for Speeds, The Crew, etc etc, just to make things different.
