Amaysim Stacked Recharge Vouchers Expiring

Just a heads up to others with amaysim recharge vouchers.
I had one amaysim voucher left stacked on my account, the expiry on the original docket was may 2nd but I stacked it back in march, so it shouldnt have been a problem, but it didnt recharge this month.
Customer service says that they expire even when they are stacked, I know some people may have had a few years worth of vouchers stacked so you might need to check on them!

  • does this apply for the sim packs?

    • The SIM cards do not have an expiry date. So I wouldn't expect them to expire any time soon.

  • The expiry date on the docket is the latest date you can redeem it. Once used, that date is irrelevant, and your account credit expires in 90 days, unless topped up or a data pack is purchased. Therefore either stagger the redemptions, or buy a data pack at regular intervals.

  • I am really confused here. Are you referring to the expiry date of the recharge voucher, or the expiry date of the credits (once the recharge voucher is redeemed)?

  • the expiry date on the voucher, when the date passed it expired my redeemed stacked voucher. so when it came time to apply it, it failed, csc said that the expiry date had passed!

    • You need to recharge before expiry date in voucher. I got confused by what you mean by "stacking". My understanding of stacking is that you recharge on top of your other recharges. So you end up having plenty of credit.

      • hmm maybe some peoples vouchers got converted to credit, mine stacked as $44 plans

        • That would be a plan voucher, not a recharge voucher. The system knows the difference because people were trying to convert plan vouchers purchased cheap into credit.

  • This happened to me too, had it stacked and didn't work when the time came for it to activate. Went onto Amaysim chat and the service rep literally called me a liar multiple times saying I hadn't entered it (saved the transcript for reference!).

Eventually after much trouble he loaded the value of it ($44.90) as 'goodwill' and I used it to purchase the plan for another month but for some reason it keeps deducting more money from my credit balance.
