How Telstra prepaid works?

First time pre paid user , always been on plan.
I got $2 starter kit and $40 recharge so I can get the $40 freedom plus
I have done all that, and also added in the $40 recharge
In the telstra 24x7 app it shows I am on the $40 freedoms plu when I click my mobile number
But before this screen it's still saying I have $40 credit to use
I am confused ? If I use this $40 ( on like add on pack or apps ?) does my freedom plus go away (my unlimited calls, 6gb data, $350 Intl calls)?
Thanks in advance and apologies if question as been asked before

  • You get 28 days for all the goodies you are entitled to expires.

    However….

"Roll over your unused data, Call Credit and International Credit to use within your next recharge"

If you recharge again after 28 days it rolls over.

    • What about the $40?

      • That is for you to use on apps or any other services as you please.
Using up that credit of $40 does not alter your plan allowances for the 28 day period.

    • Thanks
Another question can I transfer my credit to another prepaid SIM card ?

      • Yes. Google "credit me to you"

        • So does this mean just before my 28 days finish, I transfer credit $40 to another sim which also has the freedom plus plan so that will go for 28 days - couldn't I just go back and forth ?

        • @CozmerkIsenberg:
Each transfer costs you $0.25 in credit, so it's not a lossless process.
And an incoming CU2ME will only extend your credit by 14 days.
