Australian Walnuts 500g for $8 ($16/kg) @ Woolworths

170

I was looking for walnuts last week and found that they were ~$24/kg for Californian walnuts, so I think this is a great price for an Australian product.

Last time I bought this pack, about 3 months ago, they tasted like cooking oil. Do they taste like Walnuts now?

    • i eat them everyday, they taste fine to me

    • I just opened my bag and they taste sweet. Better than the pecans out of the bulk bin section.

Man ohh Man, the saying " You get what you pay for" is proven again. Bought them last night and i Can tell you they smell like cooking oil, MAQ even after 3 months theyt still smell cooking oil mate.

Was thinking to buy atleast three bags of them after i saw the price, lucky i end up buying just one……..thats's enough!!!!

No wonder things like this is making me think to try ALDI and COSTCO

  • Imo Californian walnuts are the best tasting and hold there taste for a couple of months if kept in an container

  • hit em cheap at 5 star nuts and coffee in lakemba, housemate was there earlier in the week - walnuts were $10 a kilo
