Any Good USB Powered PC Speakers?

I'm looking for a pc speaker that is usb powered so no using mains power. I want good sound quality. Anyone know any? budget is $100

Why no mains power? Is it for a Notebook/Chromebook?

What kind of listening do you primarily do? Eg. games, pod casts, video blogs, movies, internet radio streaming, quality MP3's, etc.

Would an expensive headphone be more suitable?

  Yes it's for notebook and I mainly listen to game and movie music. I don't like wearing headphones

Sorry, pick one of the above only, mate. There's a very small limit on how much power a USB port can output, and there's only so much speaker movement that can possibly translate to.
