Saw this deal in Harvey Norman's 1/2 Yearly Clearance catalogue. I think it's a good buy considering it includes 16GB of data. It's also 4G.

I don't think Voda pocket wifi devices are locked to voda only. I have a 3G vodafone pocket wifi and I can use any sim card on it. I don't have voda 4G pocket wifi yet but mostly likely it's unlocked.
Maybe other Ozbargainer's can confirm if Voda 4G pocket wifi is locked or not.

I've had one of these for a while and it was unlocked out of the box. Mine was direct from Vodafone direct though.
Postpaid devices are unlocked
Prepaid are Locked.
If you get from a company owned or direct Vodafone store they use Postpaid no matter what.
from third parties (supermarkets and HN) they will be Prepaid devices.
I have 2 prepaid R208 dongles both bought from different (3G+ whatever the hell that means) and both were unlocked.
You can easily get an unlock code from ebay for under $5. I used to buy Telestra one from gumtree and get an unlock code from ebay.

Hi ccrap, I just bought one, haven't opened it yet. Spoke to Voda and they say they won't know until I open it, if it is valid for 30 or 90 days. How do you know it is 90? Cheers

It says very clearly in the picture that the device is Network locked!

It looks like the same Huawei model I have for Telstra. I just paid I think $3-$6 to get an unlock code off ebay.
Got the HSPA+ R207 from the QV store which scanned at $59 on Sunday. Same 8+8GB offer.
When does this deal end? Anyone had luck getting the 16gb ordering online or do you have to go instore? The data is valid for 90 days but is there a date that you have to start the activation by to get the bonus data?
My box says 8gb data. How do I get the extra 8?
I had to ask for the extra 8gb,it comes on a separate Sim and its not included in the modem packaging.
For included 16G, or 8G data, how long it lasts as effective, 6 months or, just within one month after activation ? I reckon it needs initial activation anyway.
