"This item comes with a Chinese Plug which is an Australian plug" Funny I went on a trip to China a few years ago now. I remember needing an adaptor.

    • +2

They use both an AU and US style plug.

      • similar but not the same check the international standards , the blade / prong is different thickness….. found out when I tried to get a din power point installed into my circuit breaker board…. seems it was a grey market Chinese one and they wouldn't sign off on it. ….. ended up having to put in a Clipsal one.

  • Not getting confirmation code

  • Anyone have an idea how long the cord is?
I couldn't find details on it.

1.5m, I have two of them and they work as advertised for a year now.

      • Does yours make a light squeal?

        • Very faint, it's normal for most power adapters.

        • +1

          @poporange630:

Hmm, I wouldn't call it normal. Nothing else I have makes this noise :$ I'm going to hope mine is just a dud, awesomely handy tool for overseas sourced appliances and chargers.

        • @dewy:

Are you saying that this will convert the power from 240v down to 110v? Or just that overseas purchases comes with the us plug and this is handy for them?

        • +1

@nerd1: it's a universal power strip. it can handle voltages from 110 to 240. it doesn't convert voltages.

        • it is definitely not not normal ….. mignt be from the usb charger part as they use switch mode power supplies which are designed for 220v not 240v so they run above the rating …..I always turn this sort of stuff off when I leave home incase it ignites.

  • I see you can get them in "white" and "black" color choice. I'm wondering if it's not a choice but more "before" and "after" they've been used.

  • 100 - 220V full voltage range

a bit nervous about using this. Last time i plugged a multimeter into the power it was either 230 or 240v

    • There are 2 voltage ranges only. 100-110v and 220-240v us/Japan Europe China Australia south America
