Was wondering if anyone had any experience with Surface Pro 3 warranty replacements. I bought one which is in warranty today of gumtree and the screen does not look right. I can see some very faint yellow spots on the screen and some light bleed around the edges. How generous is Microsoft when it comes to warranty?

Good take it back to JB and ask them to sort it out for you. However didn't you test it before you paid?
The screen bleed is only visible in dark and the yellow spots are very faint. To be very frank it does not affect the day to day usage at all but i thought if it is under warranty, why not :)
In that case take it back to JB and see what they say.

I was thinking of raising a case directly with Microsoft in this case. What do you propose? Shall I got to JB or Microsoft directly? In other words who will be more generous ;)
@poop: I would like to think it was a new one primarily because the battery cycle count was zero when I received. Although there couple of very small barely noticeable dings and dents across the edges of the device.
@dealsucker: Interesting, that's good i've read of people having cycle counts up to 50-60…so hopefully they swap out the batteries now too. ill be giving it a go next month.
pretty generous but frustratingly time consuming (unless maybe u can return it direct to the microsoft store in sydney). you may end up with a replacement with the same issue…so is the SP3 warranty now under your details? In saying that I had to go through a few SP3s back in the days to get a decent screen. Bought it from JB thro. I have since sold mine and have a surfacebook.
