Research shows that drinking a high consumption green tea diet may assist

… antioxidant compounds naturally occurring and present in high amounts of green tea may stimulate your metabolism

While this is a good price for this expensive rubbish, keep in mind none of the associated claims have any solid evidence to support them, as indicated by the vocabulary used on the website.

    • Hi there,

Thanks for your comment! This may not be suitable for yourself but for me personally, it adds a layer of mental clarity to my day. There are many people who can attest to the effects of Green Tea Extract. As always with supplements, YMMV and it is recommended to see what works for you. Have a great week! :)

      • No problem! Thanks for the polite reply!

… it adds a layer of mental clarity to my day.

        That's probably the caffeine.

        • There is no caffeine in Green Tea X50 as an active ingredient :)

          @AnthraxXx:

X50 Green Tea Frequently Asked Questions
Does Green Tea X50 contain caffeine?
Yes, all tea types have a small amount of natural caffeine content. Green Tea X50 contains 75mg of caffeine, which is about the same as ½ a cup of coffee.

As a comparison, a Nespresso Coffee Pod has about 60mg of caffeine.

        • @BTRaynes: ^ As an active ingredient. Naturally occurring caffeine present in small amounts can be balanced by the presence of naturally occurring theanine in Green Tea to make it less stimmy than say, a full cup of coffee. But as I said, YMMV and I'm only speaking from personal experience - a cup of coffee leaves me feeling worn out once it wears off, this does not. Also your source is not from Tribeca but appears to be from a New Zealand supplement review site.

EDIT: Further research shows that the extract used is EGCg, and without a comment from Tribeca it would be hard to say whether they used a caffeine-free process (eg. Clean carbon dioxide extraction) or not.

EDIT2: Some unofficial documentation says the product can contain up to 27mg of caffeine which is different to the proposed 75 as stated above, so the above edit still stands.

@AnthraxXx: I wouldn't buy this product from your company as you seem to intentionally mislead people.

        • @jobler: Please refer to my above edit as I decided to delve deeper into the matter for peace of mind, there is no intention to mislead people here. Also we are not Tribeca Health.

@AnthraxXx: "There is no caffeine in Green Tea X50 as an active ingredient :)"

As sceptical as I am, I still perceived this as the drink having no caffeine. This is enough for me at least to lose any trust in anything else you say, including all of the bizarre health related claims of this drink.

@jobler: Apologies for any miscommunication, I merely looked at the nutritional panel available to me to check as I didn't think it would be an issue.

  • There's no need to buy special green tea.

It's very good for stopping appetite. Even a box of $5/100 bags Twinnings Green will do that.

I skip a lot of meals by just drinking a cup of green tea instead.

Then again, I'm more towards anorexic than anything else so YMMV.

      Hi Strayfire,

One sachet of Green Tea X50 is equal to 20 cups of green tea, this makes it ~half the price of 100 bags of Twining's Green on a cup-for-cup basis when you buy the 60 serve option, even cheaper with the 90 serve, also it comes in many different flavours which is why most people who choose to purchase it prefer it, but yes YMMV. This deal is more so aimed at people who already use the product and are happy with it - cheers!

~half the price of 100 bags of Twining's Green

I got 100 bag pack of Twining's for $5 the other day.
