Why do people pay more than the $100 value for gift cards online??

For example, this listing is for a $100 itunes gift card for $105, and it has 48 sold apparently.

I get people live in remote areas, but you can pay via credit card, paypal, etc on the apple platform can you not?

People who are living in other countries but want to buy from the AU store.
People who have a "get $100 ebay credit for $85" Groupon voucher.
People overseas who want to buy a gift for an Aussie.
    It isn't nefarious.

    • There are ALWAYS listings for the the same thing at a cheaper price though. This is the part i dont get how these sellers manage to sell the item for a higher price than the dollar value with the competition.

I understand they are proper store with good feedback, but most of the other Buy it now offers have good feedback as well….

      • spend $100 get $15 off coupons are a regular thing.

Last time someone asked the same question. I think people might have those targeted eBay offer where you spend $x to get $y off, but with an expiry date. So people ended up bidding up the gift cards when they don't have anything that they want to buy.
