(PRICE ERROR) Fallout 4 Digital Deluxe Edition FREE $0.00

940

Fallout 4 is now free on the Xbox store due to a price error. Don't know how long it will last so better get it now while it's free. This includes season pass and game.

EDIT - Try reloading or sign in again to buy the deluxe edition. That seems to work for me.

EDIT - Now expired. Congrats to anyone who got it and hope to god Microsoft don't revoke the licenses.

to tell them that there is a pricing error? or to whinge that they didn't get free copy?

        probably both…

      • We might have had success if the big gaming sites didn't have to promote it. Damn them and their advertising needs!

      • My guess is they were worried to get a ban or to have to pay full price if it were deemed to an exploitation of a price error.

dammmnnnn… that's deal of the year material for anyone who manages to still have it working once MS fixes their mistake!

woulda been worth getting an xbox one if this game was still free!

  • noooooooooooooooo missed it :(

To those that got a successful 'purchase', can you give feedback on this thread if/when it gets revoked?

I'd be interested to see if they honour access to the game going forward.

    • So am I, if not to rub in that I missed out by a matter of minutes but at least it gives hope for future mistakes being honored.

At worst everyone seems to be getting at least 1 day trial of the game, maybe that's a strategic plan not to revoke till after the long weekend, trying to hook people sampling the game into actual purchasers.

  • Sad I missed out on this deal but even though support has said the licenses will be revoked (keeping in mind support can be clueless as crap at times), with E3 in days, this could really work in their favour for publicity sake if they let everyone keep the licences (at least until E3 is over ;) )

  • Oh My F'N falloutGods!!! I missed out!!!!!

I can confirm that all content downloaded today and is currently playable.

  • downloaded and i m playing

    • License revoked :( and no credit either.

As others have also confirmed, finished downloading and works fine.

I have a feeling that the removal of license means that if you uninstall you won't be able to reinstall but just in case, I've disconnected from the internet

Just got a message from Xbox Live.
"Our pricing error on Fallout 4 has been fixed and your free download will no longer work. For the inconvenience we will deposit $10 by the end of June in your Microsoft account. This expires one year from the time it was deposited."

    Damn.

    • Yup, same here. Bummer

      • That being said, it still says purchased on the game page.
Fingers crossed. (Wishful thinking I know)

    • Same. Oh well I was feeling a bit guilty anyway :)

  • Just finished dling and i got the same message as above.
