Off Street Car - Maintenance

Hello OzB's,

I park my car off street and its under big tree. Everyday there will be lots of leaf's and small branches fall over.

Will it be an issue if some of the tree leaves / small branches go inside car hood?
If issue, what should I do to avoid the issue?

Also, how do I get a clean window front and rear? What to use for cleaning the windows?

Don't park under the tree. Problem solved.

    • Where do I park then? Street is full of trees!

        Cut out a peep hole

        • Ok. Will try to do that!

        • @danger163: why do you need a council permit to park off street?

        • @Euphemistic: to stop workers taking up all the street with free parking. Usually in very built up areas close or within cbd

        • @supnigs: I thought off street parking meant on your own property. I understand why up you might need a permit to park on street,

        • @Euphemistic: a lot of units/flats have shared parking.

Might need to get a cheaper car.

I've had plenty of cars over the years. More than a few times I've cleaned leaves and sticks and assorted crud out from under the bonut thingy. Doesn't do much harm except for the 1969 Valiant thar had actually rusted out around where the water ran down off the hood. Modern cars are better painted and it probably took 20years to rust the old Val.

As for cleaning, just wash with water and car soap, making sure you wash any bird crap or sap off soon as you can (next 24-36hrs)

    • Yeah cleaning the poo.

Next on is changing the house which has garage!!

      • It'll be cheaper to downgrade your car to one you don't care about the paint work on!

        • lol. this made my day!
