Paid $30K for Brand New 16 Mazda CX-3 sTouring FWD Auto Petrol, Yay or Nay?

Price includes Window Tints, Arm rest and Floor mats.

Is it a good deal? If not, what would be a achievable better price? What other options would you recommend (Sub compact SUVs) and why?

Thanks in advance!

    Did you already buy it?

If so, don't ask questions or look at other cars lol, just enjoy it.

  • You've bought already, and asking if it's a good price?

Personally I see no advantage to the cx3 compared to the Vitara Turbo (I sell them). Especially as the Suzuki comes with a 5yr warranty

    • Currently in the market for a small suv myself.
Have test driven both the cx3 and the Suzuki and can tell you there are lots of reasons to choose the cx3 not at least limited to the power on the road.
The Suzuki might be a turbo but it feels like u are driving a Daewoo matiz lol.
Plus the Suzuki is a bit boring tbh
This is my opinion I just was not impressed at all.

The advantage is no one is buying Suzuki vitara new let alone second hand one day in the future. Easier to sell a Mazda 3

      • Considering last month it sold only a handful of units short of both CX3 and ASX, you might want to double check that statement. In a few years time, the Suzuki will still have warranty and CPS, the Mazda won't.

It can't be a good deal, you just bought a FWD SUV. That's like buying skis with sandpaper undersides.

It's not an SUV per se, this class of car is to just get a mid-size sedan that sits higher. Many people from middle-age onwards like that, because their joints aren't what they used to be.

Not everyone needs to get a 4x4, one of these days you might actually realise that.

Or you don't need everything? Save the money towards other stuff?

      • not really a higher mid-size sedan, more like a jacked up mazda 2

        • Correct, and it is classified as a jacked up 'light car', two classes below medium car (in response to Spackbace).

  • My friend is thinking of have this car or similar, if it explains.

    • Tell your friend not to bother.

  • sure, why not. it's your money, not mine.

    • Useless comment.

I don't think it's useless..ozhunter got it right. If u already paid, don't ask questions just enjoy.

  • $30k is an awesome price… Now tell me where you bought it so I can go get the same deal.
I'm currently haggling on one myself lol.

  • Have you paid?

I have found a couple of dealers who are selling them for $28990 driveaway. Armrest is $493.00 and floormats $134.00.
I have not tried to haggle anything yet as that is the price I was just given over the phone. Im not sure whether to go the STouring or Maxx. Can get the Maxx under $25k.

    What do you think?

    • Definitely sTouring IMO.. Check out the official Mazda for a full list of specification differences.. Also WINDOW TINT is a must.

      • Yeah im going stouring. Best I can get is $28990 driveaway. Will not throw in matts or slimline plates at that price. So im guessing $28990 is pretty close to invoice.

That seems to be the standard price for these on Car Point. No haggling required - http://bit.ly/1tjUJG9

    • Standard price is around 33k in my region (GC). The price I paid for includes window tints, arm rest and floor mats, I think they're not free. Also, it seems like only blue is available from your link.

      • There were several avaiable around that price - that was just the one i picked as an example.

Tints, arm rest and floor mats would only be worth around $500.

"I paid for" or "my friend is considering"…? Which is it?

        • Maybe he bought one and his friend is considering getting one also

  • That sounds like a shocking amount of money for a subcompact CUV.

I get that "Touring" is Mazda lingo for top of the line…. and that people thinking you should buy a 4wd version is kind of a waste of time when the owner is unlikely to ever get off sealed roads…

But hey, if you bought it and you like it, then who cares? Enjoy it. Also I think people who go on about saving $500 here and whatever is kind of a waste of time. I assume people borrow money for these cars? Surely a small amount like that disappears into the ether when you're paying it off over 5yrs.

  • $30k ahould be alright

Theres only one sTouring on haggledb but that guy (a whirlpool user) paid $30,750, so your price seems fine!

    • I picked mine up for $28990 on Friday. Had to pay to upgrade the plates to slim black for $120ish, but worth it. Salesman said his sister did not even get that price and it took 2 weeks to reach that price. That also includes a 5 year warranty so im very happy. Nice car, and insurance is cheaper than my mazda 3

      • Cool, do you mind if I add it to my spreadsheet so others can use it to haggle?

        Good price by the way

If you had to ask, chances are, it's nay.

You cannot possibly negotiate if you do not know the sale price history. You get the sale price history from forums.

You may be lucky if you meet a kind salesman… rare but they exist… I think.
