Dove Beauty Bar Shea Butter Vanilla 4x100g $2.99

    is also good value.

  • Is this in QLD stores too?

    • It is 1.89 at windsor

  • Is this across all stores? The flyer only lists Tasmanian stores

    • Not 100% sure, my guess would be only states who celebrate Queen's birthday this coming Monday (so all except QLD and WA)

  • those who celebrate Queens Birthday I don't think there is an exact date.

    • +4

21st April is the Monarch Queens birthday.
I was told by an interstate visiting twit today "don't know why QLD and WA don't celebrate the Queens B-Day with the rest of Australia, why "use" have to do things different to the rest of us i dunno"
I explained it wasn't the actual birthday on Monday and was laughed at because i'm a Western Australian living in QLD.

Bugs me when people are that stupid..
Sorry, just venting, time for a panamax..

I once saw a guy empty all the Paracetomol and Ibroprofen into his trolley in Coles.

He would have loved this deal, the Pandadol addict he is.

    • +10

      Another headache waiting to happen

      • +7

        He's just Aspirin for it.

          Jesse we need to Cook

    • +2

Probably has an ulcer in the stomach by now

      • I typically take one tablet when I get a headache and more often then not it seems to do the trick. If not take a second tablet.

Though if I had hundreds of them I might be inclined to scoff them down like lollies lol

        • Ever thought to try and figure out the source of the recurrent problems rather than just dulling them every time?

        • @noodlesfordaddy: its not a daily event so no I wouldnt call it recurring. Just whenever it happens.

    • may be he is from China 'cos they like to go to HK or overseas to buy genuine products like medicine and baby formula. I saw them buying heaps in HK pharmacies.

    • But those don't have much potential for abuse

    • +1

People like that frighten me. Paracetomol is hepatotoxic. Pop 75 in a day and you will die a month later from liver death. 75 aspirin is lethal as well - you puke alot, get tinnitus, hyperventilate then drop dead. Both are nasty drugs. Over the counter doesn't mean safe. I have seem much safer drugs than OTC painkillers withdrawn fromt he market because of some minor or rare side FX.

  • Standout product is Panamax (paracetamol) at $0.69 per box.

    Curash Baby Wipes Fragrance Free 6x80pk $11.99 ($2 per 80pk) :)

  • I prefer Paralgin by Aspen pharma. They are made in Australia last time I checked. They aren't as cheap ($3-4) as this though.

    • +2

I think they are about 12 times as effective at curing headaches so it is still worth it.

      • +1

12 times, I like the accuracy.

        • 12.217465 times to be exact

        • @altomic:

Like San Pellegrino with 16% juice

Paracetamol made anywhere is paracetamol, unless i'm mistaken and this drug you refer too is something other than paracetamol.

Black and gold label 20-30 packs are available at woolies or coles all year round for 60-90c.
500mg of paracetamol is., just that.

      • +1

I think he/she is referring to the fact that Panamax is made in India. There have been problems in the past with some manufacturers in India not adhering to the kinds of safety standards we would expect.

        Personally it doesn't bother me.

        • Doesn't bother me too much either actually, just thought I'd support an Australian operation for not that much more $.

          @fryandlaurie:

Aspen is a pharmaceutical company held in RSA, so despite an 'Australian Made' tag the surpluses are still heading abroad. Besides, paying more for a given product simply because it's Australian Made can be a fallacy at times. Some Australian businesses can indeed be much more competitive in their domain to reduce the price discrepancy between domestically- and internationally-made products. But they won't, and then they wonder why sales are dwindling.

Panamax is made by Sanofi Aventis, and it's made to AU standards…if it's good enough for RMH to administer, it's good enough for over-the-counter use as well. (I was given Panamax for pain relief when I was admitted to RMH last year for a kidney ailment).

        • @twister292:
Maybe Panamax were the cheapest when the supply contact went out for tender?

      • You're right but I have read some reports of Indian factories being compromised:

        • +2

Soul Pattinson Manufacturing and Pan Pharmaceuticals are Australian and I didn't hold them in any kind of good regards compared to the panamax counterparts, but I don't really care either, its all drugs, there's always a risk.

    • +1

bioavailability for panamax and paralgin should be identical. Its the law.

  • +1

it is on their website? aussie wide

    • Yes. It's showing 69c at their online store. I'd say it's Australia wide.

  • I see the flyer you have is for Launceston stores, does this cover Hobart stores as well? Can't find it on their website

  • +2

    Panamax is the new eneloop?

    • +6

      Yes, same advice though:

"Do not insert them the wrong way"

  • $1.99 for the 100 pack at Ashgrove, QLD.

    • did you have it scanned or show them the online price to match?

      • I just rang them up

  • Makes you think how good these can really be at 0.69 cents :O

    • +1

the same amount of goodness as the $5 12 pack of Panadol brand. dont be fooled.

  • It is almost giveaway.
I am not sure the benefit of pain killer medication (that can be dangerous in wrong hands) so cheap instead of more important medications (for cancer, HIV, AB etc)

    • I can agree with you there….

  • So has anyone managed to find it at the discounted price in store? &, if so, at which state/store?

    • Available at Nambour, Qld.

      • Not $0.69, but $0.99 at Footscray store, Vic. Looks like prices vary at different stores

    • At Indooroopilly, Qld the marked price is $1.89 but it scans as $0.69.

  • +2

Confirmed Panamax $0.69 and dove Shea 4 pks $2.99 at point cook Victoria store although price not changed on shelf scanned ok at checkout

  • Confirmed on sale at campsie nsw
They may not have changed the ticketed prices but it definately scans up as the pamphlet price

  • I just checked Pricehipster.com.au and the same Swisse Women's Ultivite Formula 1 and Men's Ultivite Formula 1 Tablets 120pk are available at Woolworths this week for $23.50 Save $23.50 until 14/6/16, which is $4.49 cheaper than Chemist Warehouse.

    • woolworths is 50% off normal shelf price, chemist warehouse is 50% off rrp :(

  • -1

Made in India. That's why it's so cheap

  • deal updated:

online as well so presume nationwide

  • -1

    two per person? kinda sucks.

  • +1

    presume nationwide

Nope. Went into our local store (regional NSW) just this afternoon (Sun 12 June). Shelf price stated $1.89, and sure enough they scanned at $1.89.

    • Show them this deal/the pdf file/link. I showed the guy at the register and he was able to get confirmation from his boss to change the price to 69c. This was at Strathfield, NSW.

  • +2

I was at the Lane Cove store earlier…they didnt have any of the items mentioned at their respective sale special price. I asked them to scan and it came up at the normal ticketed price.

With ozbargain instinct in me….i showed them the web price and they managed to get approval to price match. It can be difficult when most of them are franchised.

  • Just to confirm for Brunswick Vic, shelf says 1.89 but they were scanned at 69c.

  • Confirmed $0.69 at my local. Another good deal I spotted was 3 x Colgate basic toothbrush pack for $1.99.
