Very high price tag. Anyone interested im currently in the processing of sourcing parts to build my own hand held 3 axis gimbal. Can pretty easily be done for around $100.

That video is a pretty good guide to get started above and creates a pretty nice end product.

    • Wow that AndyRC guy is one handyman. But that DIY project is still too tough for me :(

I also agree, even with this 5% off deal, these gimbals are still too expensive :(

      • Haven't done it myself yet but really doesnt look too hard. gimbal can be bought from here pretty much out of the box should work. Add in a 3s or 4s battery off ebay and your good to go. Just mount it onto a stick or pole (even a broomstick) for convenience.

        • I have already tried making one with one of my spare 2-D gimbal (for my Cheerson CX-20), attached to a thick cardboard roll, and the LIPO battery inserted inside the cardboard roll. It kinda of works but still not good enough for me.

        • @edfoo: What were the issues with it? Any tips to make it work better?

        • @chillybags: Both my 2-D gimbals still acting up at times and not maintaining the correct horizontal tilt. Plus the whole setup looks a bit crude, I feel a bit embarrassed walking around with it :P

        OMG !!!!!

        They've gone balls up !!!

  • Can't speak for this retailer but I do use the Feiyu-Tech G4S Gimbal for a lot of filming.

Fantastic device! Extremely stable in harsh conditions and has a long battery life, the only downsides are the majority of the support is in Chinese so you rely a lot on forums and the necessary Firmware updates aren't able to be performed on my mac or using a VM Desktop.

  • ordered a Feiyu G4S from these guys, was worried when you guys posted whois details. but they had a live chat and the guy seemed legit + paypal proctections.

Product arrive today awesome service :)

    • Thanks for the nod Radicfazed.

Yes, we're totally legit, totally Australian. We just have an online only business model, no shopfront to keep costs down, but still hold stock in Australia. ie. we don't dropship from China. If you see ridiculously cheap prices on an online store, you're likely looking at an overseas dropshipper, don't expect to see your gimbal the next day from them.
