Buying Shoes from New Retailer - basecamp101.com.au

Anyone bought anything from basecamp101.com.au?

They dont accept paypal. I was after shoe which is literally listed on their site $100 than anywhere else. Haven't heard of them and not sure if it is safe or just dodgy?

    Issues:

    • orderbox-dns.com are usually associated with counterfeit item sellers. Do a search on OzBargain

    • Email address of the registrant is [email protected]. 163.com is a Chinese portal, and that somehow does not correlate to the name "Isabel Kirkhope".

    • ACN 004335559 goes to The Camp Proprietary Limited, which has been registered since 1998. Most likely the actual domain registrant just stole someone's ABN when he register the domain.

The real problem, as discussed in this thread, is how can auDA allows the fake registration information to be used for a .com.au domain.

    • Thanks a lot. I really appreciate it. Good I checked. I almost hit the buy trigger yesterday. Would have had to go through headache of chasing credit card for fraud + cancelling the card as well.

It is interesting .com.au can be bypassed that easily.

Should I report them to auDA and see what happens?

      • I doubt auDA wants to do anything and they most likely will just shift the responsibility to the domain registrar, which in this case the PDR that is owned by EIG (big US company, rarely liked in the industry).
