iiNet & NBN Co - Changed Connection on Node outside Property but Been 5 Days, Still Disconnected

I have been with iinet for long time and service has been good. I got an email from NBN Co that service is available in my area and I can contact ISP to switch from ADSL to NBN.

I called iinet on 27th May 2016 and requested new NBN Connection. Received a follow up email saying technician will be changing ports on 9th June 2016 which on iinet website is marked as done.

Now I have been calling iinet since Friday morning and everytime, they are saying COOPER ACTIVATION in NBN Co is looking into it and will take 24-48 hours. I have called them today and again, I got same response, they will take 24-48 hours and I should call them on Thursday for an update.

Now I don't have internet since Thursday evening and it is really annoying and no other ISP is able to help me.

Can someone suggest me what can be done.

Thanks

Call them every day until it gets done. There's not much else you can do besides nag them to death.

    • My family is doing that to me and I am calling them at least twice everyday. I thought NBN Co will provide better service but again monopoly from somebody else. If NBN said no, there is nothing I can do.

I called Telstra to ask them if they can provide ADSL today but they said they can't if NBN is available.

      Thanks for your reply.

      • Keep calling and make a fuss on social media. If you still can't get anywhere, lodge a complaint with the TIO. It might not achieve much, but it's worth a try, seeing as you don't have any other options.

  • Sounds pretty typical of the nbn

I rang Exetel, TPG, Telstra & iinet and nobody is helping. There is a article on reddit where it says that if anyone leaves ADSL line, Telstra won't let you rejoin it.
