How Good Is Lenovo IdeaPad 510 i7 Laptop 15.6"?

Hi , need some suggestions regarding buying a laptop for some normal VMware practice for server stuff. how good is the specs combination in this laptop considering its i7 6th gen 6500U processor with 8gb and 1TB ,

it was available for $850 couple of days ago but I think its still available for less than $1000 at JB hi fi..can you suggest any comparable model within this price range (Lenovo or Dell) , Lenovo australia has e560 model on sale for around $950.

This dell comes down to $911 with the current eBay promotion.

I'm not a tech wizz but I've had a Google and it seems to be quite good and is double the ram

I was going to list it as a deal but it has limited quantity

If it's CPU grunt that you require, you'd need a i5-6300HQ

The Core i7 6500U is a low-voltage, 15 watt TDP dual core CPU, with hyperthreading on 2 physical cores.

The i5-6300 HQ is quad core 45 watt TDP proc. It can do a lot more heavy lifting with 4 physical cores.

The Dell Inspiron 15 7000 (15 inch) series is equipped with one of these, and so is the MSI CR72 (17 inch)

Thanks for your replies . So you mean to say that the one I mentioned won't be fit for the purpose. The first link http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Dell-Inspiron-15-6th-Gen-Core-i7-… has a price of $1139 and the CLICKMORE code doesn't work with it… anyways… the 6300HQ processors are bit costly… hoping for some more good deals from EOYS …
