Had this in my ebay watch list for a while and had considered buying at the original $399 and only last night noticed it had dropped considerably in price, so grabbed one.

I called Target online customer service to check whether it ships in another box and the lady confirmed that once you place the order, to call them on 1300 753 567 with your order number starting with 5 and they can contact their warehouse to ensure that the item is packaged with extra care as the rep I spoke to said one customer had to return his order 3 times because of a damaged box. YMMV.

Free shipping on both eBay and Target direct but I went through eBay to take advantage of the cash back. Could be in store as well but haven't checked.

      The hilt is actually metal but I get it that if you're not a Star Wars fan who buys collectibles then you would think it's just all plastic.

    It's a good price if you are a Star Wars collectibles fan. I already own 3 Force FX Lightsaber's. I would be tempted to add more to my collection, but I can't buy this one (because I don't like Kylo Ren).

    The Force FX Lightsabers are very good quality. Everyone who comes over always comments on them and has a bit of a play. My daughter loves them.

        I have Darth Vader's, Luke Skywalker's (Blue version from Star Wars & Empire Strikes Back) and Luke Skywalker's (Green version from Return of the Jedi).

        Darth Vader's lightsaber is very heavy. My favourite is Luke's Green lightsaber. I purchased mine quite a few years ago from Amazon.

      I have Ben's and Yoda's. Yoda's is probably not the best value for money as it is the shortest. but I like the little guy.

    Just placed my order. The lady I spoke to at target when I called the listed number wouldn't guarantee that it would be shipped in its box, but said she'd send through the request. Hopefully it turns up CIB.
