Got this in the mail a couple days ago, Im in QLD so not sure about nation wide. Am looking at buying an i30, this could be a bit of a tempter.

There a lots of extras you could get, Im thinking of using the $500 towards a tow pack.

If it's any help for your bargaining powers too be

The wife needed a new car as we have new baby on the way and We picked up a Accent last month Brand new for $13,990 drive away for the Auto. There was a few deals from selected dealers. Also got a $500 trade-ing for the old clunker.

    • Any chance you can tell us where you got that price? Was it in Sydney?

      • We saw it in the paper. It was Brisbane.

        • Sweet price, could you let us know which dealer in Brisbane?
Im in the market for a new car for the mrs, so this could be it. Also in Brisbane :)

          thanks for your help.

          @markis:

It was metro Hyundai, however our sales experience wasn't that flash. Their version of in stock ready to go, is a 2 week wait.

I'd take this promo and just start calling dealership's, one will take the bait.

        • @Calmago: Nice, that's some good ammo.

          Cheers!

Did you also get Apple Car play on the accent? or can you upgrade?

          Cheers!

        • @markis:

Not quite sure, it's the wife's car.

It does link to your phone for contact's, music ect.

I think the Car Play systems a bit of a novelty.

        • @Calmago:

Yeah I agree it is in a way, but I'm hoping to do away with the bulky windscreen mounted GPS with the apple maps powered by her phone. :)

        • @Calmago:
Good price but only 6 months rego.

Anyone know of a forum/site where people share the price they got there cars for ? I couldn't find one on google. Maybe Ozbargain can make one :)

  • Purchased and delivered… so likely to be floor stock only.

I've always wondered about these offers the car manufacturers do… It's one thing to purchase prior to the date, but if the dealership can't deliver - why does the customer miss out?

Coz they're only interested in getting rid of floor stock.

I'm looking to get an i30, they are currently going for $19,990 as part of the eofy sale. Has anyone managed to get one cheaper (with automatic)?

    • +1

I could have sworn the i30 active with auto dropped to 17990 for a very short period (1 weekend) this EOFY period. Sorry I don't have any evidence to back this up.

      • I haven't heard of that one. It would be nice, but I think it's unlikely for the Auto model.

      • Cheapest I could find without haggling is $18990 for a May 2016 Rego'd Active. So $17990 is a steal.

  • Just used this $500 offer today, before actual start date, applies to stock other than floor and can be delivered up to June 30th.
Got white auto with $1200 worth of accessories for $19999

    • Where and what sort of accessories if you don't mind? Wife is looking to replace old Mazda 323 and choice is between i30 auto and Mazda3

      • +1

        Tow pack - $1049
        Mats - $145
There are a whole list to choose…

  • An update on my search, visited a few dealers today and seems like the offer should be available in other states. The dealers in Victoria were willing to give the $500 accessories.
