Where to Find Sheep Milk?

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to get my hands on some sheep milk as I've just discovered that the milk protein in cow's milk is causing a bunch of my health issues (fun).

I know goat milk and sheep milk exist, and I can find goat milk in the supermarket… But no luck anywhere with sheep milk.

Lets be honest, almond milk, rice milk, soy etc, aren't nearly as delicious as the unnatural milk from another animal.

Any help would be appreciated, I'm in the melbourne area.

Have you tried A2 milk which has a different protein or Lactose free milk as alternatives?

    • I will give those a go!

Still on the hunt for sheep milk though, I also hear it's the most delicious of all milks

    Try the Farmer's Markets
    http://www.mfm.com.au/markets/produce-our-farmers-markets

Think handmade cheeses including goat, sheep and cows milk as well as freshly bottled milk, cream, yoghurt and ice-cream in summer and autumn.

    • Great, thanks! looks very promising

  • Yes farmers markets might have it or this place which I've been too - http://islandpure.com.au/ but you would have to visit kangaroo island.

Phone them. If they make and sell the cheese, then they have the milk at some point. Ask them if they'd consider putting out a sheep's milk product.

If not, they may know of another supplier to get you hooked up.

  • ChoiceCheapies don't even know.

    Sorry bad joke.

    • Choice bro. Put ut un the chully bun.

I want to say 'in a female sheep'.
But ewe know what I mean.

    • This is why I come to this site.

      • But no + vote ?!?

        • It slipped my mind, I'm udderly ashamed to say.

What makes you think that the sheep's milk will avoid the 'issues' that cow's milk is causing?
Humans are not built to drink either.

Is there a specific reason humans aren't built to drink sheep and cows milk, or is that an unqualified statement?

      • I've heard that said before too. Personally I think it's a load of crap. Humans eat and drink a very wide variety of substances, and have done so forever. I have no problem drinking cow's milk. I know other people do have a problem with it. So saying humans aren't built for it is kind of like saying humans aren't built for swimming.

    • Like I said, it's the protein in the cow's milk. Specific to cows.

Sheep milk contains a different protein that is much more compatible/digestable for human consumption. As unnatural as it may be. No more unnatural than eating them.
