Recently joined Ventraip, amazing bunch of folks. Unfortunately the developer I engaged will be building my site on ASP.NET, therefore I had to cancel my service with Ventraip.
Am searching for a reasonably priced windows server hosting plan to compare with godaddy's deluxe plan.
Can anyone recommend me a plan similar to godaddy's deluxe?

Sorry no experience with Windows hosting. If you are looking for "cheap" ASP.NET hosting, then ASPWebHosting.com.au seems to be pretty cheap — starting from $29.94/6 months for 1GB space, 10GB data on IIS8.1. No MSSQL for their cheapest plan though.
OzBargain is probably not the best forum to ask this question. Web Hosting Talk (not the .com.au ghost town, but the .com one) or Whirlpool Forums might be more suitable.

You can try discountservice.biz too. They support asp.net. Don't go with Godaddy if you use asp.net. They are not reliable enough. If you want US provider, then try asphostportal.
i actually went with godaddy for now. developer needed a host site to show me the progress and i get to buy some time to find a better provider in the meantime. was on godaddy's $1 per month for 12 months with a free domain.

You're best off putting a request post over at Web Hosting Talk and see who throws offers at you.
Just post your requirement as "ASP.Net hosting" though as you can do it via Mono on a Linux host (via Apache or nginx) as long as the host supports it.
Could be worth looking at Azure costing too, depending on your requirements, as they've got options somewhat similar to shared hosting (eg PaaS for .Net Web apps) and depending on your compute/storage requirements it can cost very little.
