  • What's the quality of the leather like? My last JMs the leather creased badly after the first time I wore em. Make the shoes look rubbish. Hesitant to buy another pair

    • Agreed. My last 2 which I bought on sale the leather went south pretty quickly.

    • Quality really bad. Doesn't last long. Never buy again.

  • I always suggest using scotch guard spray. By spraying the product with 3 coats. This will protect the leather from dirt and drying out.

    • Will it stop the leather from excessive creasing when worn and preserve the natural look of the leather?

  • My last few pairs, I felt the quality went down a lot. The shoes last me around 6 to 12 months with normal use. I use to get about 18 months to 2 years with other shoes

    • The O2 Motion range of shoes are much better quality than the usual Julius Marlow shoes. Better quality leather and super light weight cushioned soles.

  • The last 2 pairs of o2 motion shoes I had seemed to have not as good quality compared to previous ones. Happy to show pictures. There is. A depression in both places where the air pad is. Agree with gavman that after a few months the shoes start to look a lot older than they should. This company was acquired by the same ones that did dicksmith… So it may have been around then where the quality went south. Not sure. If they were 30 dollars would be a good price

  • Bottom line guys $69.95 for a pair of leather pair shoes is a decent price. If you look after your shoes with a scotch guard spray then you should be able to get 6 months + (In my books that's pretty decent deal)

    Just a note for everyone….

    there unfair return policies.
    I order the correct size, they sent me the shoes but as the rep mentions himself they are made overseas and the sizes were incorrect weren't as per standards.
    Must mention I have same company shoes which I bought from theionic and they fit perfectly.

    On contacting them for returns, they refused to pay for shipping, well which I did pay for in then end.
    There customer support person namely Dani was polite in dealing and promised to me that as the shoes sent were incorrect size I can provide a list of shoes I like and they can adjust the costs. I did send a list and she agreed to the list.
    We decided on a particular design and to my surprise she wanted me to pay for shipping and extra costs or refund but minus the shipping charges. I was transferred to their support manager Daniel who was very rude with me and then was transferred to Garry the owner of Brandhousedirect who kept on repeating that I made a mistake and was not excepting that it was them who sent me the wrong size. He also mentioned that I bought using a coupon on OzBargain (he sounded as if I was some cheap person begging on OzBargain). He forgot that he's posting here to increase his sales not the other way around. Anyways in the end he agreed to absorb some cost and was sent an invoice. The customer support person Dani asked me for my foot drawing so that she could match it with the sizes they have and it has been a month I haven't received the shoes.

    I am not sure what to do as i have neither received my shoes nor my money back.

    All members please beware when dealing with Brandhousedirecct specially if you are using a deal from OzBargain.

      This is always the risk of buying shoes online with any retailers. Sizes can vary by brand and shoes type and it's very hard to compare sizes. The hassles of having return and receive new pairs just makes u regret the whole initial purchase in the first place. All but to save $30 then if u went to a store and bought the same pair.

      I believe the retailer needs to take full responsibility for any size issues and ensure they provide proper service and assurance that they will ensure full customer satisfaction. I think the company is just shooting themselves in the foot to handle any situation otherwise as the negative publicity or word of mouth wouldn't be worth the $20 they would save by not honoring to pay for shipping for the return. Poor form Brandhousedirect. Customer Service 101.

      Their online policy clearly states : If after you have received your 1st exchange item, and wish to return this item to us, we can offer you an exchange or store credit of item cost for your purchase. If you require more than 2 exchanges per transaction, we will require you to pay the shipping costs.

      Based on this if it's your first or second exchange than the shipping should have been free!!

        I ordered correct size…..
        I have already sent photo proof of the same that all my shoes are same size even same company, hence it's not my mistake.

        Also your customer service staff has agreed to their mistake but customer support manager Daneil and owner Garry are refusing for the same.
        Also when asking for exchange I have already given you what I want but it's been a month I haven't received the shoes also with refund I didn't go for it as for some reason you are not refunding my full paid amount.

        So firstly stop trying to provide incorrect information here.

        I clearly remember Garry clearly mentioning to me that as I had bought via OzBargain you even sounded like I did a cheap mistake.

        If you are so honest why haven't I received my exchange shoes till now nor the complete refund of the amount I paid IN FULL not partial

        • You may have ordered the same size as your previous shoes, but the style is not the same as your previous pair and hence, there is no guarantee that you will need the same size in the new style you bought. Furthermore you were offered to exchange for a different size in the same style you bought and the return pair would be sent to you at our cost which you refused. You wanted a more expensive style and didn't want to pay the price difference. That is not reasonable. We have tried our best to keep you happy. Offered an exchange or refund, all in accordance with our returns policy and you simply wanted a more expensive style at the same price you paid which is not economically viable or fair at all. We even offered a discount on the more expensive item which is what you elected and now you writing all this unfair stuff on ozbargain. Not fair at all mate. I will provide you with all your tracking information for the exchange pair on monday when our office reopens. We are always willing to help customers as best we can when the requests are fair and reasonable. In this situation, you are not being reasonable. You can't expect to drink french champagne on a beer budget unfortunately mate!

What satisfaction do you get by shooting down the customer even if they are wrong?! Reading this just makes me cringe. If I was the owner or ur boss I would have made you refund this persons every cent and given them the shoes for free. All ur doing is coming across like a massive twat and damaging ur reputation in a highly competitive market. Surely someone with a little common sense relises this.

          You are welcome to try and shame us but unfortunately the story you are writing here is somewhat of a stretch of the truth. Quite simply, you wanted a more expensive shoe for the same price you paid. Nice try buddy..The real world doesn't work that way. I can try and sugar coat the situation but I am simply being open and honest about the situation. We have been in the footwear industry for 30+ years and are a family run business. We have fair and honest policies for all customers and we don't appreciate when a customer like you is writing dishonest claims on oz bargain. Your fellow oz bargain members deserve much better than this and we trust they will be able to filter through the truth. Yes Hush Puppies are offering a decent deal too here, but if you are looking for a nice, comfortable work shoe, the Julius Marlow Nevada shoe speaks for itself with its 02 comfort technology features.       Please note our customer service went over and above to try and help the customer. They even asked him to provide a picture of his feet to try and help him find the right size. We are always there to do our best to help customers. However, not all shoes are the same price, and customers make a choice regarding the style they want and the price they pay. If you want a more expensive shoe, it is only reasonable to pay the price difference.
