Question regarding Steam wallet

Okay. So, I'm an international student here in Australia. Last time I bought a steam card was at the Philippines.
I was wondering: what is the difference between buying a physical card from game stores vs buying credit directly in the steam client? Can I buy credits in PHP(Philippine currency) with my Paypal which is linked to my Australian bank account

No difference really on the Oz store. I don't know if the Phillipenes has there own steam store or not but steam in Oz is in USD so buying from a store makes sense if you have high currency conversion fees or if you buy immediately after a big drop in the AUD.

I think the only difference is foreign exchange fees via your Australian bank and paypal. If you buy a physical card from eg. Woolies, you won't need to pay extra bank fees. But from my understanding is that, the AUD$50 gift card you buy, won't be USD$50, it will still depend on the exchange rate at the time you redeem the card.

    • okay I'll give it a go. Thanks, mate!
