    Build quality is meh, plasticky.
Used one bought during earlier Amazon deal to move data from laptop. It stopped copying halfway, came up as blank FAT32 drive. Had to replug to continue.
Wouldn't trust it for anything important.

Yep, the foreskin thing is creepy and falls off

    • That's what she said! No wait …

I'm not going to comment on build quality, but this thing is just slow. I have a 128GB one from Amazon. I'm disappointed even if I only paid $33.

  • Agreed, I tend to think Sandisk Ultra or nothing for these large capacity drives. Who wants to spend an hour copying files etc?

Also these prices start to come dangerously close to Samsung T1 Portable or other USB 3 SSD drives which are much faster again.

    these are terrible

unreliable & slow (EDIT: unless you are moving very large files)

the only good thing is they are unlikely to live past the pitiful 1 year warranty - so try and get your money back

got 2 of the 128gbs one and they are still going strong, copied tonnes of stuff to this and no errors, $109 is still too expensive for 256gb, will wait for it to drop sub $80 whenever that is, in the meantime got 2 of the 128gbs variants and a few 2tb portables to utilise. But i will buy these again.

    • I agree - I have one of the 128GB ones from Amazon which has about 50GB of Outlook PST files that I use at work, and have never had any issues with it. I had read some reviews suggesting they were a bit flaky, so I backup every day when I get home - but have never needed to restore from backup.
FYI - mine is formatted as ExFAT and encrypted with BitLocker.

  • 256GB rated at ~35MB/s?? No thanks :/
Isn't that like 2 hours to fill the damn thing…?

Transfer speeds approx. 10X Faster than PNY standard USB 2.0 Flash Drives
    * Speeds quoted for USB 3.0 devices. Speeds are based on PNY standard USB 2.0 (3.5 MB/s) write

  • I think you can always get better 256GB USB flash drives from eBay at this price.
