How do you create those AMEX offers manual enrollment links?

I'm seeing some deals on the AMEX connect website, but I can't seem to enrol in them after clicking the "enrol now" button.

How do I create the manual enrolment links in all those AMEX deals?

  • I'm looking for the Cellarmasters and Hilton Hotel cashback link.

I know the Cellarmasters one is limited to Amex issued cards, but I have new card which doesn't have any offers available yet. However, when I enrolled in other offers via the manual links, it seemed to work fine.

For the Hilton Hotel offer, I tried to guess the URL, based on other manual links and info scraped from the AmexConnect website … but I couldn't figure it out. Does anyone have any tips for figuring out the manual link?

I messaged one of the users who has posted manual links, and he refused to share how to make those links.

I have a feeling they work inside AMEX…

      • Well, there's currently 8 subscribers on this post. You're defiantly not the only one wanting to know!

        • Well the user I messaged has a history of posting AMEX offers. 70% of his published deals are from AMEX. So my guess is he's on the inside somehow.

      • I have a feeling they work inside AMEX

For all the manual links I've analysed so far, I probably could've guessed those … but then hindsight is 20/20.

I just haven't had any luck figuring out the Hilton link.

I'm lost for where to start with the Cellarmasters link, since the Amex Internet Banking website doesn't give any clues that match the format of the other manual links.

  • just feedback to Amex - wouldn't it be easier if they allowed bank issued Amex cards to signup an account with AmexConnect directly?

Not sure I follow - AmexConnect is only for bank issued cards. You sign up directly with the bank card.

Amex Issued cards can access the special offers through the Amex internet banking site.

  • I recall someone sharing that they trace the redirections as they press the 'save to card' offer on their card.

    • I tried this with chrome dev tools … no luck.

I was able to guess 4/5 offers released today (SCA, Estee Lauder, Farmers Direct, Rebel), but BingLee had me stumped. The manual link contains a random number not visible on the other link. I'm guessing inside information from Amex has some roll in it.

  • Some offers can be used on bank issued cards, eg the current BP $10 off > $40 petrol offer.

    • Not clear how closely Amex enforces this. The comments on the forums seem to be based on anecdotal evidence about whether the offer shows up on the amex connect website or the amex internet banking site.

If we can generate the manual enrollment link for targeted offers, then it would be easy to test whether non-targeted users can also enroll in the offer.
