  • People have their own opinions when it comes to these UK shirt companies post here, but I find TC shirts to be better looking shirts. I bought twice from them (5 shirts in total) and they look a lot better than T.M. Lewin shirts (I admit I never owned any T.M. Lewin shirts but their looks didn't attract me at all).

Thanks for the post by the way, OP.

      No worries.
I guess clothing all comes to personal taste.
I'm finding recently for me as long as I like the fit and it is 'easy care' gets all the ticks.

      • I couldn't agree more, mate. Though I found CT's shirt look more colorful, they tend to be bigger unfortunately. I am thinking maybe to buy two shirts from these guys and if the fit and look are OK then convert. Will see how it goes.

Edit: I meant CT above by the way; Charles Tyrwhitt shirts. Typo.

I'm on the opposite end. I like the slimmer fitting shirt.
I bought a slim fit Herringbone shirt from Myer the other week. For $40 really good shirt.

        • @dasher86: Agreed, at Myer same shirt is $89

    • I have both, my personal opinion is that the colours and styles for CT are nice but the TM Lewin shirts are way better in the terms of quality

      • That's what I thought. If they fit better than CT (CTs tend to be roomier I found) then I can overlook the colorfulness and will totally convert to TM Lewin. The two times I bought from CT I either had some issues with the width of the shirts (bigger), or the sleeve lengths (kinda shorter). I am one of those skinny-fat individuals and have slightly longer arms. The way these shirt companies make their shirts these days is that certain collar sizes can only go with certain, specific sleeve lengths. If you wanna alter any of that then it'll cost you extra $15. It's an annoying way they make extra $$ from the unlucky, physically disproportionate folks like myself.

        • Haha I'm sort of the opposite, slightly stocky/muscular upper body but short limbs, but luckily TM usually has 3 sleeve lengths so the shortest length is usually perfect for me

@Chickenleg: Lucky you, you bloody chickenlegs (more like chicken arms in this case)! :)

  • How does it compare to MJ Bale shirts?

    • I own CT, TM, MJ Bale & and most brands sold in Myer. I prefer CT OVER TM, only slightly. Go for their non iron, it can last a week still crisp. I won't buy any others unless under 20 and looks good.
MJ bale is way down in my list, as with others.

  • site doesn't let you purchase anything!

    • If you look at earlier revisions of this post, a very long URL is available at which the offer is still available. I'm not sure why it was removed.

  • I got them for $34 a while back through here. They are good shirts. I got the fitted and they suit me well. The non-iron while still requiring a bit of an iron IMO are easy to iron and stay fresh all day. Wish they had a bit more variety in colour.

    • low spin, low temperature, and hang to dry and not tumble dry
comes out as good as an ironed shirt.

  • Can someone recommend some types?

    • non iron are great, they still need a quick iron but easy to get a professional finish

  • Is it only $40 multibuy? (4 shirts for $160) Probably good to specify, that or I'm not very bright LOL.

Edit: Nevermind, I clicked the link again, and now it is all shirts $40, I guess the site glitched?

  • thanks mate. ordered 4x non iron shirts. picked up 3 on the previous deal for $36..

    • 3 for 36 when?

      • Few weeks ago

      • I think he meant $36 each. Three shirts for $36, the whole business would have been ozbargained in a nanosecond.

        • What he said

  • Hi Guys, I'm not sure if im missing something but when I click the link, it says nothing about this deal or free shipping

  • Does anyone know how long this deal "$40 All Shirts" go for?

  • +1

Hey guys, I haven't tried but if you buying $250you get 10% off or $350 20%off using "SALESAVE" code

That might work out to be $32 a shirt

    • Link

      Try that .

Edit: replied to the wrong comment..wtf

    • I tried that "SALESAVE" code, it does not work with this offer

    Thanks. Got 3 shirts.
I find them better than CT shirts

  • It seems historically the $40 offer occurs quite frequently. Just wondering if I should wait until the $35 offer comes around again.

    • +1

depends on how badly you need shirts.
      If you can wait, wait.

      • Any idea how often the $35 offer comes around?

        • +1

Not sure if we will score sub $40 again. When it was 34, it was due to a way ozbargainers found to stack offers. And then we all got an email from the 'CEO' that he will honour it but not in the future.

        • @pramki: Wow really? I purchased a few shirts at that $35 offer and don't think I got the E-mail.
EDIT: Just checked. You're quite right:

"Hello and thank you for your recent order with us.

Due to a technical error on our website we noticed that you managed to get an incredible deal on our beautifully fitted, London designed shirts.

Normally we wouldn’t honour this sort of a discount as our shirts are of such amazing quality and value already! As you are a valued customer however, and we are so excited to have you back with us, we’ve embraced your savvy opportunism and hope you will continue to shop with us, so we’ve allowed your order to go through. That’s how confident we are in our products and the fact that you’ll love your shirts.

Make sure you also check out our beautifully tailored suits, our stylish casualwear, and our huge range of accessories.

And don’t forget to visit one of our stores throughout Australia to get the best of British tailoring and menswear right on your doorstep.

          Thanks,
          Geoff Quinn
          CEO"
