Vertical Lines on Lenovo ThinkPad E460 Display

I bought a lenovo e460 on one of the deals posted and have noticed some light vertical lines on the display.

The lines are most visible on blue or green backgrounds, unnoticeable on black or white backgrounds.

Any other e460 owners experiencing this issue?

Yes, this is typical of cheap TN displays. It's probably either banding or some kind of dithering at work.

I'm pretty sure the e460 has an IPS screen, either way, it's still in the 14 days return period so I guess I'll be sending it back.
