Epson WF2630 repair schematic- broken ink caddy cable

Hi all,

I have what looks to be a nearly new printer with (no idea how it happened) cable hanging loosely from the ink caddy. I see no obvious way to reinsert it & wondered if there might be anyone here who knows of a site which offers actual break-down manuals or schematics for printers? I've been looking all morning, but not found any other than the typical, "how to insert your ink cartridges"-type stuff.

I don't mind tinkering as the thing isn't usable until I can get that cable where it belongs, but I have no way to know where to begin.

    When you contacted Epson what did they say about the photo?

    From the photo it looks like there are plastic tabs on the side (and probably ths other side)which could be levered up to remove the top of the print head box. Inside the printer head box will be where you can reinsert the cable in to the cable port socket thing. Pretty straightforward.

    I haven't bothered ringing Epson— they will only ever give you a number of a dealer.

    It isn't as if I don't understand where this cable likely goes (I've done a LOT of PC builds & modding). What I don't have is a way to access it nor any schematic. I've felt all along the ink box…nothing. No way to free it in order to open & re-attach that cable (there will be a locking clip, somewhere).

    Thanks for your ideas, though.
