Ho Hum... FY15/16 EOFYS Underwhelming?

Did anyone find that this year's EOFYS a bit lacklustre? I didn't end up buying anything at all. Bring on the SOFYS! :)

  • Yeah. Bit lack lustre. So just bought things that i needed. Slightly lower prices that normal was welcome.

  • Yeah agreed, 100%. Nothing like the 'buying frenzy' that has been induced in prior years!!! Big ups to the 'Good Guys' though … their (unique/targeted) 'EOYFS $20 code' that can be used in store with no minimum purchase is pretty damn awesome. And they honour it with a smile (at Preston/Northland they do, anyways) :)

    • Rather than doing 'anonymous' "drive-by" negs in response to a prior dialogue Kronors, may I suggest that you actually accompany them with an opinion/some relevant information? In the spirit of the website?

      Cheers amigo

      • +1 you to get you back to square one. All my dealings with the good guys guys have been good. Pun intended.

    • Picked up some rechargeable batteries last night with my free $20..
Wouldn't normally buy Energiser rechargeables, but no more DSE = no more Eneloop bargains, plus these were "free".

    • Yeah thats twice in the last 6 months they've sent one of those codes through. Awesome. Free fan heater this time.

  • Aside from a flurry of Xbox One/gaming deals, then yeah it's fairly underwhelming. Then again, I'm pretty happy with my Xbox One console purchase :)

    • Yea those deals weren't bad. Though it was probably a timing thing as the rrp for Xbox has dropped and they are clearing stock to make way for the new Xbox.

    There were EOFY sales? ……

  • +1

I could not agree more. I currently have no fridge and was hoping to get one in this years EOFY sales. Looks like I will have to wait until next year and hope the sales are better. I hate going to the servo every 3 days for ice!

    • With the money you spend on ice for 1 year you could buy a fridge… just get a second hand one.

  • I picked up a lot of kitchenware for a new apartment for some good priced at myer, Jones and Victoria's basement. A lot of half-price pots and pans.
