Los Angeles Lounge Access

I booked Qantas flight from Melb to LA & from there we have 5 hour waiting time for our American Airlines flight to SFO which was booked through Qantas booking.

I have few Qantas club invitation passes from ANZ/Citi can i use them in the Admirals Club lounge at Terminal 4(AA being Qantas partner) or can i use only in Qantas lounges? Also do i need to pay for Children Under 10 for lounge access

  • Are there any terms/conditions on the invitations?

  • I just read terms on back of the invitation.

This invitation is valid for single entry for one person only to Qantas club or Qantas operated
intl business lounge before date specified. Also it says next onward flight that day must be
    Qantas or Jetstar flight number.

We arrive on QF93(MEL to LAX) & My flight booking through Qantas from LAX to SFO
is on AA1605 so it not eligible??

  • Ring them, you might find that as you booked the whole flight through Qantas they might allow you entry. Nothing to lose, good luck.

  • Sorry but you won't be able to use either as neither are owned and operated by Qantas. The Admirals is an AA lounge and the TBIT one is a OneWorld lounge (not a Qantas one) and a nice one at that.

  • Am in better off buying 30 day AA Admiral Lounge pass?

    • Keep in mind the Oneworld and Qantas First Lounges are in TBIT. AA domestic flights usually leave from Terminal 4 so you're better off using the AA lounge as those TSA lines at LAX can be up to 1-2 hours long.

That said, it's not clear if you're departing from Terminal 4 as AA 1605 flies daily from Los Angeles Ontario to Miami via Dallas-Fort Worth. Are you sure you have the correct flight booked for LAX-SFO?

  • AA lounge. Some things you have to pay for inside.
Qf invitations are only good for qf operated lounges

  • My LAX to SFO flight is from terminal 4 i am thinking of getting AA lounge 30 days pass for my trip.
One thing i am not clear is number of guest allowed in the AA Admiral club. Is it immediate family member plus kids under 18? Since we family of 4 i want to be 100% sure before i purchase..Any body had experience before in terms of number of ppl allowed in the 30 days pass
