My only problem is the battery & charger is sold separately. Although still a great price :)

Hopefully it will push down the prices of the Ryobi One +

    • Yes I want the Ryobi reciprocating saw but at $99 over 3x the price of this.

Hopefully it will push down the prices of the Ryobi One +

      Totally unlikely

Ozito is a Bunnings "House Brand", and is positioned at the 2nd rung (XUI is lowest)

Ryobi is a Bunnings "House Brand", and is positioned just above Ozito.

So, why would the drop the price of One+, simply because they are clearing out old models of Ozito?

Totally agree, don't understand why people neg you.

Ryobi and Ozito sell under the same roof. Why would Bunnings want to do that?

        • I always get negged when I make comments about One+ - must be the fan base, I guess :-)

  • The drill is very slow . The driver goes great and works well despite not having any torque settings . Been very happy with my set for around the house especially for the money . Pity the batteries aren't cheaper .

350 rpm low and 1250 high is fairly normal I thought?
13mm chuck and 40 nm, I checked the others out whilst picking up the reciprocating saw :)

LMAO . I had no idea it had a second speed .
Just had a look then and found it .
Not surprisingly it's a lot faster in second speed .
        Thanks for your input .

  • Is the old (weak) model drill which I bought at Bunnings from Ozito lady rep for $15 and have not been able to afford a battery and it differs from the old batteries in a $100 Ozito kit of drill, saw, jigsaw, light plus two batteries.
Collecting this stuff is an expensive hobby because of the batteries to say nothing of the $105 1000W ebike kit where the battery cost me $US407
And all the batteries will fizzly out in a few years although the bike battery is suppose to be LiFePh with more cycles.

    • I agree with the fizzly comment. The problem with batteries… they are always depleting the majority of the time.
Till Lifeph, better li-ion & graphite batteries make it into mainstream I'm sticking to corded, more torque for less as well. Learned a new skill on how to wrap up hose and cables so it doesn't twist.

  • Their angle grinder has a higher RPM than the Ryobi, & its $50 less!

  • I already had the 'line trimmer' and battery - so picked up the drill and reciprocating saw this morning.

Used the drill to slam in a few self drilling screws this morning with no dramas - does a better job than my old 14v ni-cd Bosch (green).

They're certainly not the best kit out there, but for the price they're excellent for around the house.

  • What I find annoying about cordless ones is once you start with one brand you're kinda stuck to it unless jumping ship and losing $$$ with the old gear. I doubt batteries are interchangeable between brands… Any recommendations for around the house stuff? I bought an Ozito 14.4v driver a couple of years back but it's kinda crap with battery life so not sure about this 18v kit. Is Ryobi a better choice? Looking for 18v tools from drills to whipper snippers and the like. (Main reason being the upfront cost of batteries and chargers)

    • I was really pleased with the OZito 18V Trimmer after I returned the Bosch one that was 3 times the price. Made me wonder if the rest of the range was just as good.

      • Good to know, thanks

    • I have a drill, driver angle grinder, I find this range better than the traditional Ozito offerings and will grab the saw if see one at this price. Ryobi will be a bit better but also costs more, if they have what your after in there range I think they are great value, especially when you compare battery prices.

  • i was thinking about getting some of these the bloke int the toolshop at bunnings said they are discontinued
ozito have a new line coming out at the moment so stock up on what you need before they are gone.

    • Hmm wonder if it's updated products in the same line or a totally new range, I am guessing new products in the range as it's just some on special, not the whole range.

      • I noticed they had some fancy looking brushless drill skins in stock (for $99) - so I'd guess it's the same system but more premium tools.

EDIT: Looks like all the prices have gone back up now!

  • Yeah i noticed that after being talked out of it by a worker decided I would grab 1 of each today and prices had gone back up should have went yesterday.

  • Just managed to get the reciprocating saw for $30.90 after showing them a cached version of their site lol

    • Nice one - I went back to grab the impact driver if it was still at the low price.. but it had bounced back up.

I wonder why the dip happened - trying to match Kogan maybe?

      • Price scanned at $69.90 but they reduced it to $30.90 after showing them the cached price
