NZXT H440 Black/Black Case - $139 @ PLE

160

Not a bad drop as part of the PLE clearance sale if you're looking for a decent case. Cheaper than everywhere else by a fair margin. As Noire pointed out, no windowed side panel.

Can't find much else in stock as part of their sale that stands out but here's a link: PLE.

  • Solid case for the price shame the other colors aren't also on sale

    • They have the Orange/black version for $169 but very limited in stock, and the Green version is $179 (or $180 shipped from their eBay store) which is ~$20 cheaper than elsewhere.

Be warned this case doesn't have a side window.

    • Ah…there's always a catch :(. Thanks for pointing that out!

Why? Can you see the elves on their abacus?

I see no side window as a plus (too much glowing) … always seem to have my towers to the left of me anyway ( thats where the corner of my corner desk is and I have draws on the right.

this case doesn't have a side window

Huh? Website says "a large, full-view window reveals an interior specially engineered to make any build seamless and beautiful."

Top picture on the website shows a clear window over about 2/3rds of the left-hand side of the case.

Am I misunderstanding what a "side window" is?

Damn.. I need a new case but no stores in NSW/Sydney..

    People still like side windows?

I was over them around 2005.

    • 2005 was a different level of aesthetic IMHO, remember the all white cables and the mess that it made inside? wouldn't have been a sight to look at back in the days compared to now ;)

      • There was a lot going on in the computer case scene in the early naughties. And I was deeply into it. But at a certain point (I'm guessing at 2005, it might have been 2006 or 2007) the realisation that you had to put up with that glitzy crap for years became a reality for me. And I was over it.

        • Yup, first custom build was all glowy lights and windowed crap.

Second one is stealth black with quiet fans and access to usb/panels.

  • Aww damnit! I literally just bought a Phanteks last week because I couldn't afford a H440 :(

  • Wow holds 11 HDDs! Might look into making a NAS build with this case.

  • No side window is a bonus I got so annoyed with all my LED's shining out the back of the case I went into the bios and disabled them.

  • At this price, I prefer to buy an InWin 303, nice case with tempered glass and cheaper than this ($20-30)

  • There's no optical drive tray just FYI.
I'm trying to figure out how important having my blu-ray drive hooked up REALLY is…

  • fan hub is a great addon. now that's a nice case design. Easy to do mod like this and away you go for dvd/bluray.

    • can you explain your comment more clearly please.

      • what exactly am I not clear on? the fan hub feature in this case is a great feature. And also adding a slim dvd/blu-ray shouldn't be too much of a problem. All you need is careful thought/planning and then go implement.

    • Whoa whoa whoa… is that a slot loading drive attached to the front panel so that you can insert a disc in where the ventilations slot is? That's genius!
