  • Good idea to explain what your product is in deal description, with example price in title. So the deal is the cheaper delivery, on many discounted rolls of tape.

I wasn't interested until I read The Washi Tape Story - washi (traditional Japanese paper) design tape for decorative crafts, or just wrapping.

From AusPost: "Letters should not contain stiff objects such as bottle tops, pens, items enclosed in a hard case, and so on. High-speed letter sorting equipment could damage such objects, or the objects could damage other articles." (http://auspost.com.au/parcels-mail/size-and-weight-guidelineā€¦) I wonder if rolls of washi tape are considered stiff objects? Totally ignoring that though, is the actual deal that you are offering standard AusPost large letter postage rates ($2 for up to 125g) for light and thin items? (Really shouldn't be referred to as a 'small letter' in the checkout as the 15mm tape width is bigger than the maximum 5mm width for AusPost's 'small letters') No deal there, I'm afraid. Discounted washi tape though? That's where the bargain may or may not be. Off to browse…

    whats the deal?

  • It should be large letter postage. I'll base the deal at per unit price, including postage. Most of the other sellers sell at about $4 including postage.

  • For guys who don't know how to use the tapes, use it to stick around posters on the wall instead of blu-tack, like a frame. When wrapping presents, instead of struggling with ribbons, just stick matching colour washi tape(s) around, don't even have to use other tapes or deco. Effortless and beautiful.

  • I love Washi tapes. I have TONS of it. The designs are just beautiful. Note that there are different kind of Washi tapes being sold in Sydney. I haven't bought from this seller so I don't know the quality of their tapes. If it's like what they sell in Japan then this price is ok.

I just bought the Washi tapes packs from Harvey Norman (posted a few days ago by a kind OzBargainer) for $1.xx for a pack of 3. That deal makes it hard to buy Washi tapes from other stores.

    • Thanks. I regularly travel to Japan but knew nothing of Washi tape. Like it šŸ˜Š

  • I found some of those 1.xx or 2.xx for 3 packs in the reject shops too. But they're not the 10m length, limited variety, can't mix n match, n not as good quality. I have just came back from Japan earlier this year n they also source or manufacture their tapes in China.

Don't worry, there is a change of mind policy, just return within 3 days.

I was a bit worry about the potential letter machine sorting problem and so while shopping this morning, I popped by the AusPost office in the shopping mall and asked them about how they sort thicker but small items in envelopes. They said that items like these will be hand sorted and won't go through the machine, and there are many items like these delivered daily without any problems.
