eBay Will Not Honor CLICKMORE 20% Discount Code

EBAY System did not apply a discount to my order properly. I contacted customer support to confirm my entitlement; otherwise I would not have proceeded with the order.

I just received my PC and an email from Ebay "Ebay will not honor their CLICKMORE 20% discount". "your transaction didn't qualify for refund as per promotional voucher CLICKMORE."

Did anyone have the same issue? How can I get my $191.20 refund? Contact Paypal to cancel? Contact the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission for false advertising?

I am sure other Ozbargainers are in the same boat:

I bought the PC system in good faith:

Ebay split my PC system order into two when I clicked buy. 20% discount was only applied to (1); not (2).

    • Thanks.

I have read the terms and conditions.

Why did eBay say "your transaction didn't qualify for refund as per promotional voucher CLICKMORE"?

      • Why did eBay say "your transaction didn't qualify for refund as per promotional voucher CLICKMORE"?

i don't know. you should ask them to be more specific.

        • Cheers; I will call first thing 8am Sunday.

          Luckily the PC remained unopened.

Is it easy to return with eBay and cancel using Paypal?

Anyone else have the same issue?

There was a report here of the same thing happening when the code was active.

I required a refund for two items that I bought using CLICKMORE - got the full price back as if I hadn't used the CLICKMORE code ie. they gave me money :D.

    • Lol : )

Yes; I read that too "same thing happening when the code was active."
eBay customer support said it was a computer glitch (when (1) went through but (2) remained in my basket). I then had to pay again to clear (2) basket. I confirmed the process with eBay customer support because of the issue and they said they will forward it to eBay marketing for refund.

I called eBay three times (25 June - date of order, 28 June and 5 July) about my refund but eBay customer support kept saying it is with eBay marketing. eBay waited until PC Byte built and delivered (8 July) the PC system then sent their refusal email (9 July).

    • Yup, same here, I'm still waiting on one refund which eBay assures me is in the pipeline.

Ebay said they will now refund the $191.20; but I have to wait 10 to 20 business days.

Now I have to call PC Byte tomorrow for my $29 refund because PC Byte did not upgrade my CPU Cooler (from Intel to DeepCool); they installed the Intel Stock Cooler.

I bought my PC system with Power Supply Unit (PSU) and CPU Cooler upgrades:
        http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/152028948023
PCByte Computer System PSU Upgrade Power Supply to 650W 80 Plus Bronze
        $109

        http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/151285349033
PCByte Computer System CPU Cooler Upgrade Tower Cooler
        $29

PC Byte invoice listed the PSU upgrade was $139 but did not show any CPU Cooler upgrade.

I have advised eBay "haven't received this item yet" and will call PC Byte tomorrow for my $29 refund.

        Anyone with the same issues?

        • Good to hear, nice to find out you got a fair outcome! :)
