Optus Postpaid vs Prepaid?

Hi,

Can anyone explain the difference between Optus postpaid and prepaid plans?

I'm mostly concerned about the data - I'm on the $40 10GB Prepaid plan, but I find I often go over the data limit due to Google Play music streaming most of the day.

I notice that the postpaid option counts this service as data free. Is this a no brainer for me - to switch over, given my usage habits?

Cheers.

I think you might have mixed up Prepaid and Postpaid.

The plan you are on sounds like Postpaid based on the price.

And Optus only offer unmetered music on Prepaid plans.

So yes, if you use your data on music, seems like a very good idea to switch to Prepaid if you're not in a contract.

  • well if it gives you a free service that you no doubt use to the limit and then some so why not get a prepaid service separate to see how it is, i dont think this will last long might be a limited time option so look into the fine print.

Offer expires July 2017 unless extended.

  • Also be careful of the follow:

There are a few exclusions that do you use your included data though. These include video streaming, song downloads, analytics and non-music content like album artwork and advertisements.
