[Meetup] Sydney 14 July 2016 somewhere in City North at lunchtime. BYO lunch & some free T-shirt giveaway

When I mentioned that I have 5 hour block between 2 meetings this Thursday, and am free for some impromptu meetups — I was actually serious. So on 14 July,

  • I'll finish meeting at the top of York Street at 12PM and I'll grab some lunch
  • Anyone wants to meet up at Wynyard Park at around 12:30PM, during lunch break?
  • Feel free to bring your takeaway or home made lunch.
  • No agenda. Maybe chat about OzBargain, catch some Pokemon, or tour nearby Offieworks?
  • I'll bring some T-shirts to giveaway. Hopefully some of you will come so I don't have to lug around a bag of T-shirts to my next appointment :)
  • We'll wrap the meeting up at 1:30PM so you city workers can get back to the office.

How does that sound?

    It is a bit of a hike for me from the Chinatown end of the city, but the look of horror on the faces of my teenagers if I had a OzB T-shirt to wear around them would certainly be worth it…

      I have monthly meetings at Google (Pyrmont) and don't mind running this kind of lunch time catch up maybe once a month. I might actually have some new T-shirts in a month or two. Hint: the new one is not in orange.

        Not orange! Blasphemy.
        Eating World in Chinatown has to be a regular haunt for a lot of Sydney city OzB members, I would have thought, and not that far from Google. The Google end of Pyrmont always strikes me as more 'pub lunch' sort of place.
        But I might have to try for one of the last 'collectors edition' orange shirts on Thursday.
