Tablet Suggestion for an 80 Something

So my partner's grandmother wants a tablet so she can play Words With Friends with her family. Any suggestions? Price range would probably be $300 tops. I don't think they have Internet let alone wifi so it'll need to have 4g - so suggestions on a cheap data plan would be great to.

Cheers!

  • get this iPad Pro bro 12.9 inch…its the best !!

    • Price range would probably be $300 tops

Cheapest iPad Pro 12.9" with data: $1700.
      Honestly.

  • +1

Glucosamine tablets are supposed to be good

    • on a serious note, you need to determine if words with friends will be the only thing they do with the tablet, or if they will end up doing more stuff once they get used to it.

      • they will do stuff once they get it and it will be an nightmare…

  • I would probably suggest trying to get hold of an older model ipad.. maybe ipad mini 2 or original ipad air. Regardless of whether you love or hate Apple they tend to still be the simplest to learn and least likely to require IT support. I bought one for my 60+ Mum after giving her IT support for various Windows laptops and I have not had a single issue since. I realise that is a tough ask for your budget as you need 4g.

Ignore Fiddy, he's bankrupt and cant afford an Ipad Pro.

  • When I saw the title I was immediately going to reply Viagra. Then I read more and realised you were after a different type of tablet.

  • Maybe an ipad mini or a cheap older ipad from big w. No idea how much they are, but apple are the simplest to use.

Goodluck with the data plan, that isn't going to be cheap.

She will initially need a LOT of help with setting it up and learning what to do.

  • S.T.O.N.E.

  • Also take into mind the weight of the thing. Anything under 400grams is more ideal. As mentioned maybe an older-gen iPad mini probably suitable for words with friends.

I have an ipad4 and hate the weight.

Cheap data plans.. just wait for the $30 Telstra sims that sell for $5 a pop. Just need to spend lots of time activated new sims and cancelling the expired ones.

If you want something ultra light.. maybe a 6" phone.
