Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro Stock Android

So I got it today, 2G/16G version. Runs well, but MiUi gobbles up 1GB of RAM though, not cool.

Now the important question, what option do we have in terms of having stock android or CyanogenMod installed??

  • SMIUI is based on the stock ROM and will allow you to customize whether you want the data-mining Xiaomi framework installed.

To a modern operating system, any unused (uncached) RAM is wasted RAM, I personally wouldn't fret over a 1GB utilisation. My LG G2 currently run with 2GB of RAM with 1.31GB used.

    • Should I untick all for Note 3 pro?

    • Is SMIU buggy at all? And also are there pushed updates?

    • Its asking for Xiapmo.eu base rom, but we have global rom, what to do??

  • I'm a fan of XIaomi and MIUI, but first negative I've just come across is Android Pay won't work, well not with my ROM anyway (MIUI 8 Global 6.7.5-Beta). Any one out there running the Global Stable ROM and Android Pay works?

    • +1

Android pay needs NFC and nothing to do with ROM. And xiaomi note 3 does not have NFC.

      • Correct it doesn't.But i don't have a Note 3. I've been running a Mi3 since 2013. Should've mentioned it. It has NFC. They got rid of NFC for the MI4 and brought it back for the MI5.
