Hey guys, new member here :)
I was recently talking to my friend about how much i lag during my games (LoL,Overwatch) because of my family (around 4 people) using the internet while i play - he suggested that i should look into a nightawk n6000 router.
I am currently connected to a ADSL2+ which has appalling speeds (max download is at 300KB/s). I also saw the n6000 has an in-built QoS system designed for gaming, will this make me lag less when i'm playing? I play on an ethernet cable from which i understand is better than gaming on wireless.
I currently have a billion 7800nl modem+router.

I've owned that particular router and it was a dog :D. It has trouble handling even conservative settings for 5Mbit ADSL. But I didn't game on it so I'm not sure - if there's something (like a torrent client) that makes a lot of connections then that will slow this router down.
QoS can make your lag less but only if the network/internet is being used by another application.
